Incredible! Its like we just won our,” tweeted megastar Amitabh Bachchan who joined the jubilant millions on the streets of Mumbai, celebrating Indian cricket team’s historic win in the World Cup final.
Bachchan, with son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya, did their own victory lap, driving out of their Juhu bungalow ‘Jalsa‘, after Mahendra Singh Dhoni took India to victory with a lofty six.
“Incredible! Its like we just won our independence. It is madness outside!! Abhishek, Aishwarya and me on top of the roof of car, waving tricolor and just screaming,” the veteran wrote on micro-blogging website Twitter.
“Chak De India,” said a beaming Shah Rukh Khan to the media outside his Bandra residence after the team picked up the trophy.
Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, a cricket buff who had fasted for Team India during the semi-finals tweeted, “Wholeheartedly wishing Team India congratulations and best wishes. (Hamari Vishwa-Vijayi Team India ko teh-e-dil se bahut aur aseem shubhkamnayein aur badhaai). After 28 years World Cup is coming home…congratulations to world champions, including Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, M S Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh.”

Bollywood stars have emerged among the highest tax payers recently. Besides, Akshay, SRK and Amitabh Bachchan, known businessmen from the mining sector are also included in the list.
Advance tax is based on the taxpayers’ projected earnings. It is paid in installments in June, September, December and March.
According to reports, Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan have paid 10 crore each as advance tax. However, reports add that Akshay has paid 50 lakh more in tax this fiscal as compared to Shahrukh Khan. Akshay sure is a serious tax payer, we say!
It is important to note that some of India’s and the world’s wealthiest such as Mukesh Ambani and Azim Premji have not featured in this list! These Bollywood superstars were way ahead of stars from the cricketing world – Sachin Tendulkar and M S Dhoni – both of whom did not make it to the list of top 15. However, both these cricketers are in the list of top 100 advance taxpayers.
Besides Bollywood superstars, Kamaljeet Singh Ahluwalia from the mining industry leads the top 15 list. He’s paid an advance tax of 50 crore in March along with a total of 95 crore in advance tax this fiscal.

Calling him a source of inspiration, Roshan praises the veteran actor’s energy and fitness at this age.
Besides the emotional scenes, the two actors have also done some action scenes together in the film directed by Karan Johar.
‘Chintu uncle (Rishi Kapoor) has always been a source of inspiration for me, not just me but I think every Indian actor has somewhere tried to emulate the vortex of energy that is Rishi Kapoor. And he continues to inspire,’ Roshan Jr said in a statement.
‘I was amazed at his level of strength and fitness while shooting the action sequence. He took some bad falls, was bruized n scarred but just kept going!’
The iconic character was played by megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the original version of the film, directed by Mukul Anand.
The film couldn’t make it at the box-office but it brought Bachchan his first National Award

Abhishek Bachchan is to perform a rap number in Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maaro Dum.
The Hindi film actor had previously rapped on the track ‘Right Here Right Now‘ from Sippy’s 2005 release Bluffmaster.
The actor commented on the recording of the P ritam trackon his Twitter account, saying: “Back in the studio after 6 years with chuck masta Sippy. Have no idea why he’s convinced that I can sing. But Pritam’s killing it (sic).”

The star, who plays the role of a corrupt Goan police official, will be performing the track ‘Thayn Thayn’ in the thriller.

The 35-year-old’s father, Amitabh Bachchan, had earlier lip-synced a rap track in the YashRaj release Bunty Aur Bably.

After facing the camera with his wife Jaya after a decade, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is convinced he wants to do a lot more work with her.
The power couple shot for an ad campaign for jewellery brand Tanishq in Mumbai Tuesday.
‘Back from Tanishq shoot with Jaya… loved it… relaxed, well controlled atmosphere … wife seemed happy and comfortable! Must get her in front of the cameras  with me… she is such a natural! More films perhaps with her in roles commensurate with our age (sic),’ Amitabh posted on his Twitter page.

The NTR Jr-Ileana flick Shakti, in which he also stars, is due for release soon, and he has just signed the Rajinikanth film Raana, for which he will start shooting next month.
