Calling him a source of inspiration, Roshan praises the veteran actor’s energy and fitness at this age.
Besides the emotional scenes, the two actors have also done some action scenes together in the film directed by Karan Johar.
‘Chintu uncle (Rishi Kapoor) has always been a source of inspiration for me, not just me but I think every Indian actor has somewhere tried to emulate the vortex of energy that is Rishi Kapoor. And he continues to inspire,’ Roshan Jr said in a statement.
‘I was amazed at his level of strength and fitness while shooting the action sequence. He took some bad falls, was bruized n scarred but just kept going!’
The iconic character was played by megastar Amitabh Bachchan in the original version of the film, directed by Mukul Anand.

Bollywood stars have an incredible fan following that can go to any extents to grab a glimpse of their favourite star. The evening of Holi had a weird surprise in store for Hrithik Roshan. The ‘Guzaarish’ star’s crazy fans gave him edgy nerves when he came out of Yash Chopra’s house in Juhu and was about to drive home.

Just as Hrithik comforted himself in his car and his chauffeur started off, three of his fans, posing as beggars knocked on his car’s window. On seeing this, Duggu’s driver slowed down the speed in order to avoid injury to them. But one of the fans was planning a filthy prank. He pretended as if he was ran over by Hrithik’s car and started screaming “Maar daala, maar daala (Killed me, killed me)”.
Narrating the incident, a source while talking to a tabloid revealed, “The idea was to convince Hrithik that the beggar had been badly injured.”
“Hrithik and his driver knew that they were not wrong. But then they got really scared. What if the beggar had been really hurt,” said an eye witness.
However, Duggu’s chauffeur drove him home and returned to the spot to help the injured man.
But he couldn’t believe his eyes when he realised that some of his fans had enacted the entire scene only to make Hrithik get off his car.
“I was concerned. I sent my man back with money and a car to take the beggar to a hospital if need be. But when he got there, he realized that he was faking it. It was a ploy to get me out of the car.”

Mumbai, March 1 (IANS) Sussanne Khan, the media shy and pretty wife of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, has launched another interior store – The Charcoal project.
Located in Andheri, it is spread over an area of 14,000 square feet and has a wide spectrum of decor products that range from French antique furniture to modern eclectic furniture to home accessories, dinnerware, table linen, crockery, soft furnishings, installations, artefacts, and limited edition photo-art and accent pieces.
Sussanne will showcase her collections as well as creations of Indian and some international designers as well. The store will offer creations of Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, who apart from designing clothes also come up with home furnishings.
British interior designer Andrew Martin’s collection will also be on display.
Sussanne has an Associate of Arts Degree in interior design from Brooks College in Long Beach, California. She first started working with the interior firm of her mother Zarine, wife of actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan.
She is a full-fledged interior designer and owner of Suzanne Roshan’s House of Design. Known for her good work, she was roped in by actresses Rani Mukerji and Priyanka Chopra to do their houses.
Her new store was launched Sunday and Bollywood came in full force – from Aamir Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahid kapoor to Katrnia Kaif, Shilpa Shetty, Anil Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna were there.

Actress Katrina Kaif is more keen on working with Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh Khan and the dancing star Hrithik Roshan rather than sharing screen space with her ex-beau and present well-wisher Salman Khan.

As per the reports, director Kabir Khan‘s next film with Yash Raj Films has roped in Katrina Kaif as the female lead of the film, however the male lead role was first offered to Shahrukh Khan and then to Hrithik Roshan. Finally the filmmakers have approached Salman Khan for the film. While Salman is busy negotiating the monies with YRF, Katrina is very upset about the change. Mumbai: Expect the unexpected when it comes to Bollywood. After facing Box Office heat with the poor show of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, Farah Khan mended her estranged relationship with Shah Rukh Khan. After all, SRK was her lucky mascot in ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’. Apparently, Farah, whose next will be co-produced by UTV and her company Three’s Company, is contemplating to cast Hrithik Roshan in the lead role

News Buzz has it that Farah Khan’s shift towards Hrithik Roshan took place when she upset the broadcasters of ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ by signing the dance based reality show ‘Show Me you Can Dance’, which has Hrithik Roshan as one of its judges.

It is still unclear whether Farah chooses Hrithik or someone else as she wants to stick to her original style of filmmaking in her new project. The film will be based on dance with a lot of action sequences as well.

Farah Khan has almost finished the first half of the script of her new film and is working on the second half. When contacted, Farah Khan said, “I will think of casting once the dialogue draft is ready.”

Hrithik Roshan channeled 1970s fashion in a red polka dot shirt at a presser to announce his debut TV reality show ‘Just Dance‘ at Filmistan Studios in Goregaon, Mumbai on Wednesday, February 16.

Hrithik, 37, pulled a senior Roshan (a 1970s Bollywood star) by pairing his big collar polka dot shirt with dapper grey suit. His makeover included small frame dark sunglasses, beard and long wavy hair.

Hrithik was joined by co-judges Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant.

The show will air on Star Plus on a weekend slot.

The event call time was 3 pm, but Hrithik arrived at 5:15 pm; his charm and a few jaw dropping dance moves was all that the audience needed to forget the wait.

The show, produced by Fazila Allana‘s SOL Productions, will have 56 episodes. Auditions will begin on February 27 across 13 cities in India, UK and USA
