New Delhi: Abhishek Bachchan starrer Players is the remake of American film, The Italian Job. Heading for by Abbas-Mustan, the film also has Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol and Sikandar Kher in the star cast. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra were approached for the film earlier, but the deal didn’t click. Expected to release on January 6, 2012, here’s the first look of Players.

Bollywood Ranbir says people are perceiving it as a serious film because Anurag Basu is helming it.Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently promoting Rockstar, clears the air about his next venture Barfee, saying it is a romantic-comedy set in 1970s and not a serious film.”It is not a special character, people are just blowing it out of proportion. The treatment to the character and film is not serious at all. It is a romantic-comedy which has been set in 1970s. My character is very fun-loving (awaara types),” Ranbir said.The actor plays a deaf and dumb person, Priyanka will be seen as a mentally-challenged girl and Ileana D’Cruz will be seen as a narrator. Actress Priyanka, who graced Simi Garewal’s latest chat show came across an interesting news.Priyanka Chopra has something good that is supposedly coming on her way. In fact I remember penning a piece around the same lines exactly a year ago – Super six in charge of Bollywood today where the choices, though topped by Kareena and Katrina, were still much wider.
