Musical duo Salim-Sulaiman made headlines when they released the desi remix of Lady Gaga’s latest single Born This Way.
Sulaiman proudly tweeted: ‘And so it’s finally up and I can tell everyone!!!! Did the desi remix of “born this way” the lady gaga single.’
India’s increasing population seems to have become a gold mine for many Hollywood stars. If reports to be believed, the popstar is currently planning a concert in India.
Lady Gaga tweeted about the collaboration as well: ‘I worked with some Indian Producers on “BORN THIS WAY” to show all the little monsters in India that I appreciate you!’
We wouldn’t be surprised if Lady Gaga stars in a Bollywood film next.

4 ****s and a Piano (Dave Wickendon, David Roper, Ian Parkin and Stephen de Martin) has become the nation’s favourite house band thanks to the hugely popular BAFTA and Comedy Award Winning, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross on BBC1. Now you can catch them as they return to the Camberley Theatre due to popular demand on Wednesday 30th March at 8pm in their new show “Smoke and Mirrorballs”.

I was lucky enough to speak to Dave Wickenden as he and the boys were together rehearsing their show for the Edinburgh Fringe later this year.  Dave describes “Smoke and Mirrorballs” as a “riotous show”, which contains a lot of original material – look out for the Bollywood sketch otherwise described as Bollywooden!!  - and is made up of observational and physical comedy, dancing, audience participation and a couple of well known covers to get everyone enjoying themselves. In this brilliant new show, Stephen, Dave, David and Ian tear it up with double helpings of frisky footwork and musical madness.

Since bursting onto our screens in 2001, the boys have provided musical introductions for many of the world’s biggest stars and have sung with Jimmy Osmond,  Mark Ronson, Neil Diamondand Abba’s Benny Andersson. I asked Dave about the time they met Benny Andersson (I am a fan!) and he said that is was one of those magical moments and Stephen could barely contain himself! Jonathan Ross said that for 10 minutes they were all members of Abba as they joined Benny Andersson in singing “Dancing Queen”.  Among David’s highlights from the Jonathan Ross years were working with David Bowie, Barbra Streisand and Smokey Robinson.
As well as “Smoke and Mirrorballs” they are currently rehearsing a potted Swan Lake for the Edinburgh fringe.  It will be their fourth time at Edinburgh and this time they will be spoof ing Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake  - it will be called “Bourne Free” – and are looking forward to the amazing buzz that Edinburgh is all about.
In the meantime, after three sell out shows at the Edinburgh Festival, a successful 60 date UK tour and 9 glorious years as Jonathan Ross’ House Band, the fabulous foursome are raring to go once more, and are delighted to present their Edinburgh smash “Smoke and Mirrorballs” to their Camberley audience, because in Dave’s words “the response from the audience to a live performance just can’t be beaten!”

So come along and see the boys sizzle with their popular brand of irreverent humour together with lush harmonies in “Smoke and Mirrorballs” on Wednesday evening. The 4 ****s are guaranteed to be fun and outrageous but rarely in the best possible taste!

WASHINGTON — Warner Bros. is bringing movie rentals to Facebook, the first Hollywood studio to turn to the gigantic social network as a platform for its films.
“The Dark Knight,” the 2008 Batman thriller directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Christian Bale, will be the first movie offered for rental on Facebook, the studio said, and can be watched at facebook
The rental fee is 30 Facebook Credits, or $3, and the movie can be watched unlimited times during a 48-hour period, the Time Warner-owned studio said in a statement.
For the moment, only Facebook members in the United States can rent the movie.
Warner Bros. described the move as an experiment but said additional titles will be available for rental and purchase on a regular basis “over the coming months.”
“Facebook has become a daily destination for hundreds of millions of people,” said Thomas Gewecke, president of Warner Bros. Digital Distribution.
“Making our films available through Facebook is a natural extension of our digital distribution efforts,” Gewecke said.
“It gives consumers a simple, convenient way to access and enjoy our films through the world’s largest social network,” he said.
Warner Bros. said Facebook users will be able to comment on the movie, interact with friends and update their status while watching the film.
Hollywood studios have been looking at various services to distribute movies online, including Amazon, Netflix, Apple’s iTunes and others, but Warner Bros. is the first to offer its movies on Facebook, which has over 500 million members.

Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias Tuesday received a double platinum certification in the US and Puerto Rico for his album “Euphoria”, which has been one of the top-selling releases ever since it hit store shelves.The album, the ninth that Iglesias has released in his musical career, went on sale July 6, 2010, and was in first place on the charts for 11 non-consecutive weeks, according to Billboard magazine.

In addition, according to his label, Universal Music, this new work by the Spanish singer became the year’s top-selling Latino album.

Also, the first single in Spanish on the album – “Cuando me enamoro” – was in first place on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs list for 17 non-consecutive weeks.

Iglesias also has had great success with numbers like “I Like It”, a duet with rapper Pitbull, which went triple platinum upon having sold more than three million online copies, and “Tonight”, the second single in English, which went platinum with more than a million digital sales.

Currently, the performer is on his “Euphoria Tour” in the US, kicking the project off Jan 29 by filling the Jose Miguel Agrelot Colosseum in Puerto Rico and being joined onstage by the Puerto Rican duet Wisin & Yandel and by Pitbull.

Hannah Montana Sets Record On The Concluding Episode: An era has ended for teen pop star and actress Miley Cyrus as her popular sitcom ‘Hannah Montana’ has concluded on January 16. This Disney show gave MIley her first identity and she became popular for playing the title character. However, the show ended by setting a record for itself. The last episode on Sunday had a total more than 6 million viewers on the final episode. It crossed the record-setting 4th season average by 9%. The show had viewership of 6.2 million on final episode, which was aired between 7 to 8 pm. About 2.1 million viewers were kids of age from 6 to 11 and 2.0 million viewers were tweens in the age group of 9 to 14-year old. It was also a record for the Disney Channel, which got its highest ever ratings in this hour among kids 6-11. As a result, the average viewership of the final season of the show stood to 5.65 million, which is its best season-long number ever. When the show started in 2006, Miley Cyrus was only 14 years old. This character made her popular among the kids, teenagers and the tweens and she got many other offers. Now, Miley has got the real reason to come out of her Hannah Montana image and get into the real world of her maturity!
